The Case

We have been lucky to be approached by the Oulu Cultural Events Association to develop the marketing materials for their annual chamber music festival, Oulunsalo Soi for a few times now.

Every time we get the call, we begin by conducting thorough research on the festival’s theme, the chosen visual artist, and the target audience. Using this information, we develop a branding concept that is both visually stunning and thematically appropriate. The concept includes a unique colour palette, typography, and imagery that would be used across all marketing materials.

We always work closely with the festival organisers to ensure that the branding concept is consistent with the festival’s goals and values. We produce a range of marketing materials, including posters, print ads, leaflets, a booklet, and a website. Each of these materials are designed to be visually appealing, informative, and easy to navigate.

Taking the year 2022 as an example, the posters were designed to be eye-catching and attention-grabbing, featuring bold typography and striking imagery (provided by the chosen artist) that would capture the essence of the festival. The print ads were similarly designed, with the goal of enticing potential attendees to learn more about the festival and its offerings. The leaflets and booklet provided more detailed information about the festival, including the lineup, schedule, and background on the visual artist.

The website was perhaps the most crucial element of the marketing materials, as it would serve as the primary source of information for potential attendees. Branditect designed a website that was not only visually stunning but also easy to use, with clear navigation and concise information about the festival. The website included a comprehensive schedule, information on the performers, and a link to a secure ticket purchasing system.

Overall, we strongly believe that we succeeded in creating marketing materials that effectively conveyed the essence of the festival and its theme. The materials were visually striking, informative, and easy to navigate, providing potential attendees with all the information they needed to make an informed decision about attending the festival.
